The ASLM2023 Conference Report is Hot Off the Press
The highly-anticipated ASLM2023 Conference Report is now available to download here. ASLM’s sixth biennial international conference was convened from 12-15 December 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa, and was themed ‘Shaping Laboratory Systems and Diagnostic Services for the 21st Century: Embracing the Change’. The conference report highlights the rich discussions that were part of the scientific programme, through three plenary sessions, two special sessions, 12 symposia, six round tables, 15 abstract-driven sessions (86 oral presentations), and an exhibit hall with over 300 posters! ASLM joins the African Union and Africa CDC for Continental Meeting on AMR
This week, ASLM will co-host the African Union and Africa CDC's Continental meeting to gather AU Member States and create an action roadmap for combatting antimicrobial resistance in Africa, called the Continental Landmark Report on AMR. A multidisciplinary group of experts will analyze the key challenges and document successes and opportunities. The report will raise awareness of Africa's unique position in the global AMR conversation and the importance of Africa's voice in shaping global policies and initiatives on AMR. The report will be shared during the UN General Assembly in September.
